Our community has struggled over the last few years, and I know that many of us feel that we could be headed in a better direction, if only our leaders were more involved in finding long term solutions and were consistent with a message and vision that preserves our heritage, but recognizes that to succeed we must move forward rather than look back.  We can do this by making Fluvanna an attractive and easy community to visit and to live in within the eastern gateway of Central Virginia.

We have many strengths from which we can build, but we must capitalize on the growing success of the Zion's Crossroads area and develop plans and infrastructure that will attract and maintain quality businesses to balance our tax base and spur economic development.  Our failure to do this, has already cost us and we must act quickly to move forward.  These plans will take years to come to fruition, but we can start today by:   
 

• Promoting the strengths of our County through forward thinking & transparent leadership and a vision that is focused on the long term well-being of our citizens

• Investing wisely in infrastructure, management and policies that will allow planned business and commercial growth to flourish

• Strengthening our core services including fire, police, schools and social services by committing to proper management and funding

• Building a balanced tax base that will reverse the upward trajectory in our property tax rates

 

I am ready to get started, but I will need your vote and your support to get elected and to lead us forward.  This is our community and your involvement will make it a better place for generations to come.
